Contributions of Dr. Loren Borud
Dr. Loren Borud is not just a plastic surgeon and professor but he’s also an author for his book “Plastikonomics” and a great advice with regards to the microeconomics in the medical field. He knows what goes on in and out of the hospital doors and he understands the patient physician relationship which is why he is qualified in giving expert advices regarding this matter. The book he published is completely entitled as “Plastikonomics: What I learned as a Harvard Plastic Surgeon” and it’s a great book especially for those who want to proceed and be a medical doctor themselves. Being a doctor is not just about what you do to your patients but you must also learn about the economic side of the industry and see its pros and cons. His book gives his readers an inside view of his world in the plastic surgery industry.
Dr. Loren Borud is indeed an expert both in the business side and the technical side of the industry that he is in. He is particularly interested about elephantiasis or Lymphedema which is why he is a co-founder of the Harvard Lymphedema Clinic that was founded back in 2004. They were able to have a closer look and to closely study the medical condition with their case studies.
